My case of the Monday's was erased this morning by the words of Wayne Coyne, mastermind of the Flaming Lips. His contribution to NPR's "This I Believe" was fantastic. The 10 minute spot is usually filled by sensational stories of self-sacrifice or human survival. It was refreshing (and inspiring) to hear his down-to-earth approach to life, art and happiness.

I hear you. A man in a bubble (in a white suit) does command some attention. I'm not a huge fan of the music, but the message and delivery of that message (visually) is truly compelling. I had the same feeling when I heard the NPR spot. He had this nonchalant delivery, which made the words resonate with me.

This guy has always kinda been known for being upbeat, but I never really knew how much until I saw him last year at Wakarusa. he was so energetic and lively that I got lost in his show instead of his music. I mean the guy came out body surfing in a freakin man bubble...it mad me smile
