Any recommendations?
Personal experiences?
Publishers who specialize in advertising literature?

Any advice would be great.

I've played lead and co-author on a few books (software industry). On one from the initial outline/concept generation and contract negotiation to actually writing and cover design. My suggestions would be to do a good deal of homework on the publisher and make sure to have a damn good Editor and Index Writer. If you have some specific questions, feel free to send me a mail and I will do what I can to answer.

“Creativity: Flow and the Psychology of Discovery and Invention,” success in any creative endeavor is founded on the interrelations of 3 keys: access to the domain (the set of representative rules and procedures); access to the field or individuals who act as the gatekeepers to the domain; beyond one’s individual inborn talents and predispositions, any circumstance that facilitates access to the domain and access to the field is a critical leverage to success in a creative endeavor.
