REPUBLICAN'TS are proven scum and liars and cheaters and ruthless criminals and false conservatives and greedy and self-centered and narrow or closed minded and tradition bound; who are bought, paid for, and owned by ever special interest group that existed and overly influenced by extreme right wing religious zealots. They have sold out and bankrupted our country, and permanently ruined our global image. They have done 12 years of damage in six, and clearly cannot be trusted, and must not EVER be allowed to govern our country again.

DEMOCRATS are spineless lackluster me toos, who LACK: vision and courage and answers and unity and the correct platform and insight into the public pulse and have too many diverse platforms and a viable candidate. They unfortunately admire many of the `command and control devices' the Republican'ts have created to keep the sheep in line, and unfortunately appear like they wish to retain some of these ploys and ruses for their personal use when they return to office.

Hmmmmmmm, what does that tell you?

Third party anyone. . . ?

::still waiting for that apple:: It's not the party, imho, it's the people - again, both those elected and those who elected 'em ... vying for just a tad more altruism and a whole lot less pocket-ism.

Pollute the air, land, or water; you die.

Why is a tripod (the simplest structure) so stable, regardless of the landscape on which it is placed? Require everyone to vote, or face death. Fund all political campaigns with tax payer money, charge everyone $100.00 extra on their taxes; split it among all the politicians. NO other form of political funding OR in kind trade OR lobbyist money OR money from any source other than this tax payer money is allowed. Any politician who violates this rule will be subject to immediate death. If politicians are caught in a lie, they die. Patronage workers are not allowed, or their boss and them are killed. Absolute separation of church and state is required, or the churches are burnt to the ground. All politicians must be agnostics. Strict breeding requirements are enforced, or babies are killed. Everyone pays a flat prorated tax, everyone; or heads roll. Fair, just, and balanced, with no appeals or time delays!!! Now we’re set, after… I am given a monopoly on the executioner and funeral business in the USA ;-)

The thing that sucks is that we always get the Government we ask for. But I've thought about this before and I keep getting stuck -- Three party vs. two is just too complex a system to move to! Its almost like we'd need to have more like five to have them compete really and it would throw our whole system into turmoil - it is just not clear to me what would happen. Then again, maybe chaos would do the Gov. some good! I think we should simply allow guest workers to fill slave labor jobs and remove the right to vote for all those living in red states, restrict breeding and we'll be all set.

There are only two parties, because the two we have, prevent any third party from sharing any of their power (command and control).

I agree, both parties have flaws. So why is there only two parties to chose from anyway? This has never made sense to me, I mean what if we only had two two colors of t-shirts to chose from and what if I felt neither represents me? Where does that leave me? But still I vote cuase I do need something to wear out in the cold, besides, I want the right to bitch about what the wrong color is telling others about myself.

You're welcome Jessan (where is my apple). Keep voting dearee and make damn sure your votes are counted. Both parties have a problem. The people who voted Republican't are the problem.

Structure? Platform? Nominee for President? Is it the party...or the people? (not just the people elected; but, the people who voted them in?) Im reminded of Mr. Johnson, teacher of my high school civics class - his passion, his trust in democracy and his absolute questioning of authority. I know he's one of the reasons I've voted in every election since I was franchised. Thank you, Mr. Johnson.
