by Chia Sihan Despite the technological leaps mankind has seen over generations, the human brain remains Mother Nature’s most glorious innovation. The central hub which controls all functions of our being, research leading to theories abound has been dedicated to understanding how our grey matter operates. Where creative professionals are concerned, the speculation that their left brains are more active has always been more myth than fact, as research done on individuals with high IQ levels will show. An episode of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) program Catalyst featured “genius brains”, where 12-year-old Ross Newman’s gifted ability in Math and Physics took him into part of a studied group that was helping University of Melbourne’s Physics dept with their research.
