Can anyone help me find an Art Director?

I'm a soon-to-be Copywriter trying to put a portfolio together, I need an AD to collaborate with. It's been hard to find AD's interested, let alone a good one who isn't flaky and actually does some work.

I have several ideas ready to be executed, and others to brainstorm together. I have 2 semesters of The Book Shop.

Any contacts, suggestions, leads... would be appreciated!

i'd be game, but i live pretty far away and am busy. one thing i won't do is flake out though. so if you want to talk, we can see what's up and what the possibilities of something working out are.

It's pretty hard to find people who don't totally flake out. Art direction is very time consuming and sometimes life gets in the way or an AD isn't in love with the concept enough to do all the work necessary to see the idea through. Sometimes finding a designer for your already-done ideas is better than an AD. No AD wants to comp up ideas that they weren't a part of. Then find an AD to collaborate with on new ads. But maybe before you go to all that trouble you should run some of your ads by some of the established creatives on here for feedback to see if they're worth having produced.

The Book Shop offers concept development classes for copywriters and art directors - basically you learn how to make good ads. It's taught by Creatives from the main Los Angeles ad agencies.
