Shaun -- I think it was better written when you wrote "there are wings in the next room." There are wings everywhere. It's up to our own inner-Icarus to see what we can do with them.

I dig Lubars. This is an awesome piece. One note, I used to come to work every day thinking I'm going to be fired, but that was after I met someone in the hallway interviewing for my job. The people who rise above really want to rise and are told their are wings in the next room. People knock awards shows, but they are great motivating factors. If you don't care about rising, do you fall into the "hack" category or a "content" category?
