The spirit and fact of entrepreneurship is one of the essentials that drives and ignites any economy. Call it the "small business owner," the "sole proprietor," the "LLC," the "microenterprise," the "Mom and Pop" store ...or, simply "being your own boss" - all fall within the same category.

With the PDF publication of THE ENTREPRENEUR STORY on December 26, 2007, more than 10 months collaboration resulted in a 250+ page collection that includes stories by 70 authors, spannning 5 continents, in 2 languages - telling the genesis, joys and terrors of striking off on your own as an independent business owner.

Included with the stories, each with a different impetus, history and success (or lack of success), there are worksheets that ask questions and give guidance, there are Q & A's that you should ask yourself (and/or others) as you work your way through to your dream of owning your own business; and, there are resources (both online and offline) for local, regional and national depositories of information.

THE ENTREPRENEUR STORY started as an idea to collect 50 stories from 50 individual authors/entrepreneurs from each of the 50 states in the US, with a budget of $100.00 and 30 days to bring to fruition. The results, made public December 26th, are so far beyond what was originally imagined that THE ENTREPRENEUR STORY, itself, is testament to the strength and possibilities of the entrepreneurial spirit - and, that it's still alive and well and flourishing in the 21st century.

My story is I became an entrepreneur because of the downturn in the market. Also, the only job offers I received were in sales (my degree is in marketing). I'm not fond of sales. In regards to being successful, let's just say I'm not as successful as I am going to be.

I came out of nowhere to become president of the USA. . . because people did what was best for them and VOTED FOR ME!
