I am already planning on it. I just want to get a few years under my belt, meet a couple people smarter and more passionate than myself, and its on!

Talk is cheap. Most words are empty. Action is everything. Another thought, just start you own agency; now. Why not?

I am having lunch with my CD next week and am meeting with our President to, well set up another meeting, next week as well. I am going to voice my opinions, and explain to them that I am worth much more than I am paid, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am going to tell them that they aren't utilizing my full potential, nor are they capitalizing on the potential of there employees. Advertising is not supposed to be a 9-5 job, and the atmoshphere has made it that. 5 o'clock this place is a ghost town.

It absolutely makes sense. It can all be summed up with talk is cheap. Sorry you are a much more eloquent writer than I. So I will just use that grade school adage. I have been enlightened the past couple of days, I have spent the last few months trying to find an agency that I want to be in, where I will have the ability to do great things. I have spent the last few months day dreaming about this place. During these months, I overlooked one thing. I am already in that place, I am already inside an agency, not the atmoshere I dream of, and granted its not what I want to do forever (traffic), but the bottom line is I'm here. I need to quit looking for greener pastures, and looking for somewhere else to change the world. This yard will do just fine, for now.

(GOT CUT OFF)and passion and love ‘allow you a consistency in your performance, over others in your peer group’. Communicate and demonstrate how desire and passion and love ‘allow you to go that extra mile other fear to tread’. Communicate and demonstrate how desire and passion and love ‘allow you to do whatever it takes, whatever is necessary, knowing that there is always a way’ for those with desire, who are passionate about what they do and thus; what they do is fun, and interesting and challenging and more about playing, than working---these are the people who love what they do and consequently do what they do, far better than most others, who try to do the same thing. Make sense?

Nick, you mention, “The only problem is how to get my passion across and prove that it’s genuine”. . . . . . . . . . Passion is faked all the time, ask most women; or politicians; or salesperson; or preachers and ministers; they could tell you how to do it, IF they could be honest enough to reveal their secrets. Yet, those who understand reality still manage to know the real, from the bogus; when they sense it. . . . . . . . . . To sense it, someone else has to first ‘honestly convey it’. Conveying your passion, so as to be able to use it to your advantage when getting (or when keeping a job); I believe passion is a powerful weapon. . . . . . . . . . ‘Passion is driven by desire. The correct end product of both is love’. . . . . . . . . . When most people talk about the key aspects of passion, they just mouth the words: desire or passion or love and are ‘naive enough to think that just mouthing the words alone conveys their meaning’, and that is all it takes. In reality, just saying desire or passion or love, and truly desiring what you need and being passionate about what you need and truly being in love with what you need; is not enough. . . . . . . . . . . After everything is said and done, it is ‘what you do’ and ‘demonstrate’ that really counts and gives a genuine meaning to these desire or passion or love words. . . . . . . . . . Figure out how to demonstrate your desire and passion and love, rather than just mouthing the words; you will see different and favorable results. . . . . . . . . . Everyone wants all sorts of things, ‘figure how to turn a want into a need.’ That is ‘when you get what you want’. . . . . . . . . Communicate and demonstrate how your desire and passion and love ‘translate into a competitive edge’ over others in your peer group. Communicate and demonstrate how desire and passion and love ‘allow you to reach greater heights’, than others in your peer group. Communicate and demonstrate how desire an

Unfortunatley I feel that it is sort of my problem. Their resume' gets looked at just as much as mine, and hell anyone can fake passion, at least for a little while. I could walk into an interview right now to be an accountant, and they would think I was born to do this. I'm sure every HR person hears how passionate each candidate is about advertising 3 out of 5 interviews. Fortunatley, though, I am one of those truly passionate ones. I wouldn't want any other job in the world. Advertising is something I would do for free, in fact I did for awhile. The only problem is how to get this passion across and prove that its genuine.

You understand the deal Nick! Good for you. Those who DO NOT love what they do, have a hard time competing against those who DO. But, that's their problem, not yours.

My thoughts exactly. I am still in school right now, but I see people that come into my classes, and they know absolutely nothing about advertising. The worst part is, they don't care. They have never even thought to pick up and read Ad Age or Creativity, let alone anything else advertising related. I just to think to myself, wow, these people are going to be doing this for the rest of their lives, and they hate it now. Unreal, you are still in college, get out of advertising and find something you love now, otherwise you are going to be miserable the rest of your life. Oh yeah, and it means less people to compete with for jobs.
