Dear All,

India is becoming an advertising creative power house. This year alone they had 39 One Show shortlists and several winners in D&AD as well. You may find the following blog (i believe it is fairly new) interesting.

Desi stands for 'local' in Indian. I hope I am not flogging adholes rules by talking about another site, if I am then please let me know and I will remove this.

Well.....desi kinda means local but it refers only to Indians. Like Indians in US would call themself desi, but Indians in Indian would not. desicreative.com is not really a blog but a forum. I find it interesting as they do about scams (called 'palti galli') in indian advertising on this forum.

Hi Tom, somewhat true, but so are also many of these award winning ads in shows. Not just from India but from Singapore, Brazil, Frankfurt etc. And how do you know that the award winning PS2 rebirth was really an ad as a result of a breif?

That’s great. I’m happy for India. Though it seems that every time I see an ad by some agency in India, the client is either fictitious or fake. (Yes, I know. It’s for the double-whammy effect.)
