I've had a lot of comic firsts with this strip. This was my first "breaking out of the panel" experience. I think it worked out really well. It puts some space between the characters (so it doesn't look like Becky is sitting in Aaron's lap). Then there's the word bubbles, which can be a nightmare. Also a lot of fun with text. Ciao - Scott

The idea for this was actually a guy who got hired by mistake but had a completely different name. They just pointed to the wrong book and said "that's your book, right?" And he said "yeah." And that was that.

I’ve more or less experienced this. A headhunter called me, saying this CD (who shall remain nameless; hint: he wears XXX-large and lots of turquoise) wanted to meet me. I show up and am escorted to his office; he looks up at me and says, “You’re not Ron Monz.” I say, “No, I’m Rob Moss.” He looks at my book, says “It’s good but I need an art director.” Six months later, the headhunter calls me again. He now needs a copywriter. After one month of freelance, he offers me fulltime. Six months after that, the agency loses two media buy accounts that had been subsidizing the agency. I was the last to get hired and one of the first to get let go. Freelancing at Suissa-Miller a year later, I see Ron Monz on the phone list and tell him this story.
