Alrighty fellow Adholes ~ next round ~ with all that's been begun the next step is: who is going to host the site for jdoassociates.biz? I've been exploring, reading, searching, questioning, saving, printing, and then more of all the aforementioned activities. To answer a few, as yet, unasked questions ~ the site is to be informational, informative, honest, clean, clear, concise, with (perhaps) a tad of humor and with the ease to change/adjust/fine tune as needed. I want a site "tracker"/"clicker" that gives me re-directed and demographic info, guestbook, easily loaded, uncluttered.

:::taking deep breath:::

I've been "at the business" as writer/editor since '92, with a few hiati. While I've worked via the internet I've not, until now, "gone global," and there are details up the pooshoo. There is no, particular, imperative to get this up and running yesterday. I'd rather get it right the first time ~ rather than learn by trial and error ~ as much as that is possible when one is venturing forth over the edge of the global abyss.

Any and all comments/queries welcome.

Hit me with your best shot, ya' Adhole~ and, thanks, in advance ~

Thanks for the information ~ I've accessed and explored and have passed all to my web designer. Keeping costs low is, always, a good way to go; and, that image is s-o-o much fun and peculiar!

Easy enough, most webhosts include all of that stuff with the hosting package. My favorite is Lunarpages.com, can I plug them here? They have excellent support. The key to designing the site is to build it around the navigation scheme you want. Everything flows out of the navigation into the ocean of cyberspace. Hope that helps!

Jessan, I'm sorry, I can't help with the "get-up-and-running" part. But I can't wait to see what you come up with for your site.

Kevin ~ Thanks for the 3-step advice. While I, often, enjoy circumlocution (just 'cause I like rollin' some words 'round in my mouth); on the other hand, a clear, concise 3-step plan (in this circumstance) words just dandy for me. And, btw, don't point that thang at me if you don't intend to shoot it! :::smirk::: Again, thanks for the post, Kevin ~ much appreciated.

Three Steps --
1 - Get some talent to help you build what you want to build. Don't build a site because of your programming constraints -- conceive it, IA it, design it, and build it -- *right*.
2 - Fill your site with the content you know is valuable and of interest to your target markets.
3 - Promote it.

Webhosts are chosen during part one -- but at the very *end* of part one, just before you build it.
