Thanks for being so welcoming. I am curious. I am interested in how professional organizations can become "neighborhoods" through blogging. I think as well that businesses benefit from views expressed candidly as opposed to canned surveys.

I love to write and currently am working on two books of my own. Writing for business is something I do, however, I have never felt comfortable writing about something I have never participated in.

I am ashamed to say that blogging (or more specifically posting my own comments) is something new to me. Pardon me if I proceed with caution.

Human to human communication is not limited to being face to face, or happening over a phone line, using only your voice and body language. Nor is it limited by familiarity, you can either know who you are communicating with, or get to know who you are communicating with, through the act of communication. Communication can take place via any medium which people are willing and able to converse by. Maria, as a writer you are use to communicating with others with written language. Corresponding with someone, anyone is a form of communication that acknowledges his or her presence. Acknowledgment is a basic form of acceptance every person craves at the core level of his or her human nature? We all want to be accepted by, adopted by, get a favorable reception by the other members of our group. Groups can be anything from a professional organization to a neighborhood. Weblogging and/or posting comments to a weblog are a form of two-way written conservation read by an entire universe of a particular community where that conservation is held; and everyone is welcome and able to join in on that conversation. Communication is communication, regardless of the medium. The medium is just how and where the message is communicated. Maria thanks for posting this first weblog on Adholes… as we all collectively grab our ankles and say “Yes Mam! Can we have another” weblog or comment from you as soon as possible!!! Community involvement is what makes Adholes great. -8)
