George Zimmer gets it. Who? George Zimmer - The guy from The Men’s Wearhouse who you’ve probably seen on the television saying “I guarantee it.”.

Yesterday I called The Men’s Wearhouse corporate headquarters, and I happened to call during off-hours. Instead of being greeted with a random voicemail messaging system, I am greeted by George Zimmer. No, he’s not physically answering the phone during off hours… But he is the person on their off-hour voicemail.

Small touches like this are what make a difference. George Zimmer understands that every little encounter your customers have with your company will either increase or decrease their perception of your company. So try customizing the little things, and your customers will notice the difference - I guarantee it.

Zimmer is doing something right. He build what appears to be a strong business that has been around and done well for a long time in a tough and competitive retail industry.

That's pretty neat. I remember calling Aflak and one of the options was "If you want to hear a duck quack, press 6."
