I need the pro's opinion... Is sending a small gift, like a batch of cannolis or some great cookies to someone you had an interview with too ass-kissy? It was a great interview and I really like the person who interviewed me and the place. I normally wouldn't even think of doing something like this, but I like him as a person and would be excited to have him as a boss. Insight is much appreciated.

BEST overall idea Jennifer S! Tammy, do not put perfume on the stationary, or enclose a gift of any kind; and you're set to go.

Hand write a "thank you" on professional stationary. If you live close enough, drop off in person to the front desk. No one hand writes anything anymore. This will impress far beyond a quick & easy e-mail.

I smell romance in the air. June 2007, nice time for a wedding.

Would to Bed? Never send a gift to an interviewer if you want the job. A professional thank you not and an email with the same positive business vibe is the way to go. If you DO NOT want the job but want a date send the cookies. See my blog here at adholes, google my name email me if youwant professional group think on how to get a job.

I want to thank all of you for your feedback... I am going to go with the nice thank you note and the Thanksgiving gift or possible Holloween cookies. Thanks again, I can always count on the Adholes pros:)

Honestly, I wouldn't. A nice, professional thank you not is much more appropriate.

You might seem less political if you wait to send it as a Thanksgiving gift.

Make sure that's all you give him, hon. ;-}

Why not? It all boils down to how you position it, what you say, and how you say it. Cause and effect...GIVE TO GET. Send some to me while you're at it, I'm hungry.

Make a concept out of it. Whatever you send, tie it back to the interview or the people that interviewed you or even the company itself. Treat it like a follow-up campaign/sustainable. It's one last opportunity to demonstrate your talents, not ass-kiss. 8)
